Who we are
Liora Research provides research support from Accra, Ghana. We decide how the personal information described here is used, and we handle it in line with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
What we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email address, phone number, the service you need and what you tell us about your project and deadline.
- Client accounts: your contact details, portal username, institution, programme, supervisor’s name and project details you give us.
- Your work: documents and data you send us, and documents we prepare for you.
- Payments: amount, date, method and the reference you give us. We do not receive or store card or mobile-money PINs.
- Security records: sign-in events and a record of who did what in your account, kept to protect it.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, deliver and quality-check your work, issue receipts, keep your account secure and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We send you emails about your own work — for example when a document is ready or a payment is verified. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of service providers who process information only on our instructions: Cloudflare (website hosting and document storage), Supabase (database and sign-in) and our email delivery provider. Some of these providers store data outside Ghana; we use them only with safeguards appropriate to the information involved.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for as long as is reasonable to follow them up. Client, project and payment records are kept for as long as the engagement lasts and afterwards for as long as the law requires us to keep financial and business records.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect your account. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, object to how we use it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us through info@lioraresearch.com. You can also complain to Ghana’s Data Protection Commission.
